MESSAGE FROM THE RESIDENT IMAM
The centre is a multi racial and multi-cultural centre and we conduct and operate the following:
- a) Juma Prayers
- b) Lectures
- c) Counseling
- d) Spiritual upliftment
Allah in his infinite mercy appointed 124,000 prophets as guidance for mankind to be able to get to Allah (SWT) and to be mindful of the distraction of this Dunya (world).
Among the prophets, He selected 313, and among the 313, He selected 25. Among the 25, He selected 5 who are the ‘Oulul Azmi Minar Rusul and among the 5, He selected our Master Saidina Muhammad (SAW) – being the last prophet.
The door of Prophethood is sealed by Him Saidina Muhammad (SAW) meaning there will come no other prophet after Him but another door was opened to continue the message to succeed the Prophets which is the door of ‘Wilaya’ (friendship of Allah) and the ‘Ulama’- the righteous scholars.
These people are gifted with divine knowledge and understanding of nature and its surroundings.
The doctrine and message given to a Prophet to extend to people is called religion (eg Islam) based on Shariah. These doctrines and messages are from Allah to the Prophets.
If a doctrine is passed from the Prophet to a ‘Waliy’ it is called ‘Tarika’ (path), which is based on the Shariah and made easy to elevate our spirituality to the absolute Truth (Haqiqah).
The Haqiqah is the true destination and resting place of the soul. The whole purpose of Shariah is for mankind to eventually reach to Haqiqah.
The Tarikah/path is a formula made known to the Awliya/Ulama by the Prophet (SAW) within the parameters of Shariahto ease that transition to the Haqiqah. Therefore the link between SHARIAH, TARIKAH and HAQIQAH is very strong!
There are 3 main stations in the religion of Islam:
- i) Islam is based on 5 pillars – KalimatuShahadah, Salah, Zakat, Ramadan and Hajj.
- ii) Imaan is based on 6 pillars –belief in all the Prophets of Allah, belief in Prophet Muhmmad (SAW), belief in the Angels, belief in all the books sent down by Allah, belief in the hereafter and believe in divine decree.
- iii) Ihsan – based on only one pillar – to worship Allah as though you see Him. If you fall short of that level, know that Allah is seeing you. In other words to be ‘God- conscious’ which is the very breath and soul of the religion, and the essence of living. Allah said in the holy Quran “I created Man and Jinn for no other purpose but to worship me’’.
